This seated Buddha, which is carved into the red rock wall on the hillside and turned face to the river, is 71 meters high and 28 meters wide at the shoulders.
There are two ways to visit the scenic area, climbing and taking boat cruise.
If you don’t want to climb on the mountain or want to see the panoramic view of the Buddha, you can take a boat to see the Giant Buddha.
You will be able to climb up the Buddha to have a close-up look.
To see more, you may walk down the narrow plank all the way to the feet of the Buddha, to discover you are only as tall as one of its toes.
After visiting the Giant Buddha,take a cruise along the Dadu Riverand enjoy the beautiful scene between the mountains and the water,let you have a complete angle to take photos of Leshan Buddha.
