We took the tours from China Private Tours before. And they never disappoint us. We took the train from Shanghai to Suzhou this time. We were met at the Suzhou train station by Cindy and she was great. She taught us so much about the gardens in Suzhou, which were amazing, we took a canal cruise with her and understood a lot about the people who live nearby the canal. Cindy took us to the home of a Chinese family that cooked an authentic Chinese lunch for us, which was very good and some of the best food that we ate in the two weeks we were in China. Cindy, who speaks very good English and is very knowledgeable about the history of Suzhou and China. If we ever get to go back, we will surely use them again.
I booked this tour a relatively short time, everything worked excellent. My tour guide Lee and the driver Mr Huang were punctual at the Suzhou train Station to come pick us up. The van was clean, warm, comfortable. Lee was very thoughtful and patient. We didn't feel rushed. For lunch we wanted to try the local food and he picked the perfect place... This lunch was the best during our stay in China! Lee's English is perfect and he is extremely knowledgeable about the city as well as China! We always felt very comfortable on this tour and can recommend it to anyone. Thank you thank you!

From the time the guide met us, every aspect of the tour was perfect, the guide was flexible when we wanted to make adjustments; expertly explained the various sites we visited... never missed a beat. I took the Essence of Suzhou tour through this company. My guide's name was Becky and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The company was very prompt with communication and even personalized the tour to fit my needs. I highly recommend this tour company and Becky the tour guide. I would also like to note that as a tall person of color I was a bit of a novelty and many onlookers wanted to take pictures or ask questions. Becky was very professional and protective of me and always controlled the situation. I really appreciated her.
This one day tour was excellent! It is a very good value for money and I would kindly recommend it! We arranged the tour through the internet, the inquiries, booking, confirmation were quite easy. The guide called us the night before the tour to our hotel, the pick-up time was exactly on-time. Our guide was very fluent in English and informed us very well about the visited sights. She was polite, helpful and well informed. She even threw in a few extra stops for us at no extra charge. She was very kind and gave us enough time to see the old buildings, the canal... and to take enough photos. We had a very nice day!
Our family recently visited Suzhou to do some sightseeing with Leo. We had booked a private tour through China Private Tours who had organised our tour guide Leo and a private driver to ferry us around. We had a great visit despite the weather because Leo was a young bubbly guide with a very good command of English and knowledge. The best attraction was Tiger Hill. This was interesting because it was different. A huge leaning pagoda on top of the hill with various other sights on the way up plus local history. Highly recommend it.
We are two couples came from Shanghai to Suzhou by the fast train. And first of all, we have to thanks for China Private Tours giving the recommendations which train to take and how to pick up the train tickets at the station. We were met at the exit by our local guide Alan with a very bright welcome sign which is very easy to find him. He is an amazing man. He speaks excellent English like a native speaker. We gained a perfect travel experience from this professional team, especially our tour guide Leo. I strongly recommended Shantang street which is a place to visit and learn about Suzhou history. It was maintained as much as possible to the past with commercialization of shops and river cruise. Walking down the narrow walk way and trying out local cuisine. Worth a trip and the night light around the structure was attractive. Thank you guys!
